Fundamentals of Drawing Course

This course provides students with the essential skills needed for traditional drawing focused on realism. It encompasses fundamental knowledge such as structure, measurement, perspective, shading, and value studies, beginning with basic instruction on how to sharpen and hold a pencil. Students will engage in practice from drawing from life using lamps and learning with Bargue Plates, utilizing graphite pencils and charcoals. Mastery of this method prepares students for advanced courses in Oil Painting or Watercolor Painting, Pastels, Portrait, and Figure Drawing, as well as the second part of the Fundamentals of Drawing program. All skill levels are welcome, with personalized guidance for each student.
